The paint on the buttons has worn off – can this be fixed?
Yes, it can be fixed! And in a permanent way that makes the buttons look like new. The key, however, is laser technology, not traditional painting or stickers, which are only a short-term solution.
Why doesn’t regular painting work?
Many people try to “repaint” worn symbols themselves with marker, varnish or acrylic paint.
Unfortunately:
- The paint wears off quickly with daily use,
- The symbols are blurred and unsightly,
- They are not resistant to detergents and UV rays,
- Painted icons often “smudge” after just a few weeks.
What about stickers?
Stickers with symbols are another popular “quick fix” method. The problem is that:
- They fall off under the influence of temperature and moisture,
- They change the texture of the button (noticeable to the touch),
- They do not fit the original shape of the icon perfectly,
- They look “unoriginal” and cheap.
Professional solution: laser renovation of buttons
At our service centre, we use laser engraving technology – the same technology used by car manufacturers in their factories. The process is as follows:
- Removal of the button panel,
- Removal of the old, worn paint coating,
- Precise painting with abrasion- and UV-resistant paints,
- Laser engraving of pictograms – symbols are “etched” into the paint, not applied to the surface,
- Protection with a protective coating.
Why is laser the best?
- Durability identical to the original – symbols withstand years of use,
- Perfect sharpness – ideal legibility of icons (temperature, ventilation, radio, telephone),
- Chemical resistance – interior cleaning products do not damage the markings,
- Factory appearance – impossible to distinguish from new buttons.
