After restoration, is the plastic resistant to reabsorbing car odours or other chemicals?

Yes, the coating we use is much more resistant to chemicals than the original factory finish. We use specialised automotive paints and varnishes that are tested for resistance to solvents, alcohols and other chemicals found in car air fresheners, cleaning fluids and cosmetics. The refurbished component is protected by an additional protective layer that creates a chemical barrier. Of course, we recommend caution and quick removal of spilled liquids, but in practice, the surface is many times more resistant than before refurbishment.
