Damaged paintwork and worn-out pictograms on the gear lever gaiter in a Jaguar S-TYPE. The component had lost its original appearance, and the illegible markings made it difficult to operate the gearbox comfortably.

Solutions applied

As part of the project, we carried out a comprehensive refurbishment of the gear lever cover. The process involved:

  • removal of the gear lever cover from the centre console,
  • chemical removal of the worn and damaged paint coating,
  • thorough cleaning and surface preparation,
  • precise painting with abrasion- and UV-resistant paints,
  • laser engraving of the pictograms in accordance with the original specifications,
  • application of a protective coating to ensure long-term durability,
  • re-fitting of the cover in the centre console.

Final result: the gear lever gaiter looks as good as new, whilst the clear, laser-etched pictograms guarantee durability and comfortable operation for years to come.
